Friday is 'getting messy' day ! .........

Morning everyone, thank you for popping in on this gorgeous morning......however, you can definitely feel that Autumn is on it's way, and we haven't even had our holidays yet!
Anyway, I won't waffle on, just want to show a card I've made today, to remember the beautiful roses of Summer.
I've used the Creative Expressions rose stamps, which I've had in my stash forever, ( they always come out for special occasions ) and I partly decoupaged it this time, just to give a bit of height.
I swiped the TH tattered rose distress ink over the white card in both directions, then stamped (still with tattered rose) a couple of C.Ex background designs. (one set I heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer in bright gold ) Then I ran it all through an Mbossabilities folder to pick up the Harlequin design of the background stamp. Finished around the edges with the gold and ultra thick bronze em. powders, again from Cosmic Shimmer, and mounted it onto black cardstock.
Hope you like it.
(I have realised that I need to get a new camera, as the actual card has much deeper colours than it looks on this photo ) Mmmmmmm, birthday money??

I love the bronze, Cosmic Shimmer ultra thick embossing powder....it reminds me of volcanic lava

I did get a bit messy making this card, and I've got embossing powder all over my work-space, but hey,  isn't that what crafting is all about?
Catch you tomorrow, have a good Friday x

I'm blogging when I should be crafting.......!

Morning to all my lovely followers, just a quick post from me today....'phew' I can hear you all say!
I'm sitting here blogging when I should be in my craft room making DT cards which were meant to be in ......last week. Help!......
So, today's card is another simple one (can you see the theme running through my blog.....everything is SIMPLE, I don't go in for complicated cards....not enough hours in the day, haha)
I made this one a couple of weeks ago with a new stamp I bought, ( LOVE the stamp, but can't remember what make it is), and my Pan Pastels, in my favourite colours of course.......
I just LOVE backgrounds made with PP's, they're so vivid, and this card is ever brighter in 'real life'
Anyway, hope you like it.....I'm off into my craftroom now, if I'm not out by Saturday, gis' a shout!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges

I'm back, at last.....

Morning everyone, and what a lovely day it is here in Wiltshire, well so far at least!
Apologies for being AWOL for a week, there just haven't been enough hours in the day recently and I feel absolutely 'carded-out' :(
I think I've mentioned before that we live just 5 minutes from the little village of Lacock, where the BBC costume dramas are filmed.....Larkrise to Candleford, Cranford, Pride and Pejudice, etc, and some of Harry Potter. Needless to say, the 'overseas' visitors love this little village, and it's always very, very busy. We are having a week long, craft event in the village hall this week, today being the last day, and I must admit I'm absolutely shattered, although it's been great fun.  I've sold so many cards (which if course I'm not complaining about), that my stocks are severely depleted and I've rushed in every night this week, gone straight into my craft room and only surfaced to eat! Most night I've still been crafting after midnight! I still have between 250-300 cards in stock though, so hopefully today will see lots of them sold too.
Might have a day off tomorrow, then Tuesday I'll start on all the orders, haha. The housework has suffered this week, I don't know how you ladies who work full-time manage to keep up with everything.
Anyway, today's card was made a couple of weeks ago, just a simple Christmas card made with Pan Pastels and a silhouette stamp.

Hope you like it.
I'll be back later with a round-up of my craft week.......All my newest card pics are on Alan's camera, which he's left in his car......the car is in the garage having some work done.....and they don't open until Tuesday! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'll pop round all your blogs tonight.
Have a great day.

Twinchie Toppers........

Morning everyone......happy Friday!
Quite a few crafters have emailed me and asked what I do with all the twinchies I make for our twinchie blog
BTW the challenge this fortnight is 'Add a Flower'.......(see what I did there...great blatant plug, yeah!)
Anyway......thought I'd make a few cards and use my twinchies as ready made toppers. (All the toppers were made using Pan Pastel colours. ) These cards took me about 5 minutes each and I have a whole box of twinchies to use, whoohoo, more fast creations coming up tomorrow xx (I'm now up to 45 cards this week, yes!)
What do you think???

Please leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking, I LOVE reading them
xx
Have a great weekend,

White Lace and Promises.............

Morning everyone, hope you're all well, and find some time to craft today.
I'm going to have a full day in my craft room until a friend comes around 4ish, so hope to get another batch of cards made.
So far this week I've made over 30 stock cards....I have 7 days of Craft Fairs from Monday next week, so really need to keep up the pressure on myself.
Last night I spent ages die-cutting daisies and butterflies, so I could get a good start this morning....how good am I ?? :)
Today's card is a wedding card made with a LOTV image, and lots of lace.....hope you like it. Got to admit I'm not too keen on this particular image, I prefer their other one, of the couple in a carriage.

Please leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking.
Back tomorrow xx

Twinchies....again (don't these challenges come around quickly?)

Good morning everyone, welcome and thanks for popping by.

Well, here we are again with another twinchie challenge at
......our 4th already, can you believe ??
CONGRATULATIONS to Paula W who won challenge 3 and gets our mahoosive winner's badge for her blog....what a very lucky lady, haha x
This challenge asks you to 'Add a Flower', so I'm hoping to see lots of gorgeousness on your little works of art :)

Here are my DT twinchies, hope you like them

This one is mounted onto black card. I cut and embossed the leaves with a Spellbinders die.

This twinchie was so easy......die-cut stem and leaves, and 8 pieces of card candy. Simples! Oh, and mustn't forget that tiny bit of butchers twine, which was recycled from a Christmas pressie wrapping.

I cheated on this one....it's just a black peel-off painted with Cosmic Shimmer....it's much prettier in 'real life' as you can't see the beautiful lustre on the pic.

I've got lots of new cards to show you over the coming days, so please keep popping by. It would be great if you could leave a comment too xx
Catch you all tomorrow

No cakes for me............

Evening everyone, hope you all had a great weekend, and enjoyed the sunshine.
I've had a fab week with my brother Colin and sis-in-law Ros. We've laughed, played cards, done pub quizzes, shopped until we dropped, and lay in the garden until 7pm some evenings....oh it's been great. They went home this morning, and the house is very sad and quiet tonight :(
However, I went into my craft room, and made 16 cards, with another 4 just to have the jewels attached, so I didn't waste the day.
Tonight's card was made for a swap with a facebook friend.....

I think the stamp set was a magazine freebie, but it's quite a pretty little image. It's a very simple card, because with patterned paper, I didn't want to overload with embellies
Mmmmmmm, these little cupcakes look good enough to eat, but that reminds me, hols in 6 weeks so.......DIET STARTED TODAY :(

Catch you all tomorrow xx

60 years....you don't get that long a sentence for murder!...

Happy, hot Friday, and what a fab day it is here in Wiltshire....
A quick post,  because we're just heading into the garden to 'bake' for the day... there'll be plenty of suncream sploshing around though, so hopefully I won't burn!
This card was made for a 60th Wedding Anniversary.....and you have to congratulate two people who stick together for over 60 years without killing each other!! (don't think I could....not with my temper!)

I'm entering this into the following challenges:-

Thanks for looking.
I'd love it if you could leave a comment, I enjoy reading them xx

Brum, Brum, Brum...........

Morning everyone, hope you're all having a good week so far. I'm having a lovely break, because my brother and sis-in-law are here for a week. We brought them down with us from the wedding last weekend and haven't stopped laughing since. It's such a tonic to laugh, don't you think?
I'd like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful nephew, Colin....he won't be reading this of course, but he'll know I'm thinking of him. (I was only 10 when he was born, so I've loved him for forever!)....He's having a well earned holiday at the mo, after his daughter's wedding last Friday.

On a sadder note, I heard some devastating news from one of my cyber-friends last night, which really shook me. I've never met this lovely lady in person, but feel as I've known her for years. She has had such an awful time lately, my heart goes out to her. She'll know who I mean when she reads this, so I'm sending love and hugs and just want to say I'm thinking of her and her family xxx

Today's cards is a very basic one, made for a last minute order.

I might be back with another blog later.........We're going into Bath to do a bit shopping, then home to lie in the garden as we've been promised a hot few days...yay!
Catch you soon xx

Wedding stuff........

Evening everyone, I'm back after a very busy few days, preceded by a stressful week....just winding down now :)
Yesterday was my birthday, so all in all, a very busy, but happy time. I got some fab crafty goodies from my cyber-friends, and loads of money to buy new stash too.....:)
We travelled up north last week for my great-niece's wedding on Friday.  Oh, it was a lovely day....the sun even shone!
The whole wedding party looked fabulous, and the bride was absolutely beautiful, of course.

I made some of the wedding stationery, and these pics show the Orders Of Service.....

These are the gorgeous flowers Adam & Sam gave me for doing the invitations and orders of service, aren't they lovely?

And lastly, here is a photo of the happy couple, don't they look good x
Thank you for looking
Catch you all tomorrow
xx

A few new Twinchies

Back again, for my last post of the day and this time with a few new twinchies...Oh, I do love making these little pieces of art, and they become very addictive, very quickly!
The theme this fortnight at   Show Us Your Twinchies   is 'Bright Colours', and I think you'll see that I've made these as bright as possible :)
I'd like to say 'well done' To Ju Mills for winning our second challenge, and for nicking the fantastic 'winner's badge' for her blog.

I do hope you like my little twinchies, and that you will join us in the challenge.

Friends with style.....

Morning everyone.....a very early post from me today, and there'll be another 2 throughout the day, so please check back later for my Twinchies DT  and Cards Galore DT creations.
This first card was made for the Embossing Challenge at
which starts this morning.
I made a similar card to this one a while back, and really liked the effect. It's just stamping and heat embossing, which is one of my favourite techniques.
The mannequin stamps are from Creative Expressions of course, and I've added some wired ribbon and freshwater pearls from my stash ....hope you like it x

Back later x

A Triple Tag......

Well, here I am again, haven't blogged for a week, and now you're going to get 3 blogs within half an hour....very strange!
This triple tag was made for the August challenge at
It was inspired by my visit to the Kaisercraft warehouse in Melbourne, Australia, last October. A crafty friend took me to this humongous building, and when I walked in, I must've looked so funny with my mouth hanging open in delight and awe! Oh, it was so vast, with fantastic goodies in every square inch.
Needless to say, I bought absolutely loads, which of course resulted in excess baggage costs on our homeward flight.....Oh yes, Qantas got a nice little earner from us, (well, from Alan's company, as he claimed it back on expenses!)
Anyway, I saw a tag with this little sentiment on, and kept it in mind for a future project. This seemed the perfect opportunity to use it. The photo is of my two wonderful sons,  27 years ago,  and oh how I wish I could turn the clock back to the time it was taken :(
They are still the best of friends, thankfully, and it goes without saying that I adore them both.

Please don't forget to checkout the Cards-Galore blog,  it would be fab if you could join in all the challenges.
