A quick tag for Papermilldirect.....

Hi again.....just wanted to show you a quick tag I made for this weeks theme of  'Christmas' at
The 'special offer' is a fabulous
A4 Small Box Turquoise Card 230gsm
(Turquoise is a friendly, happy and enjoying life kind of colour.  It has been known to increase levels of creativity!)
A Small A4 Box of approximately 80 sheets is only £3.96
Here is the tag I made.....without a scrap of turquoise on it! haha
A simple tag, inked with distress inks and lots of liquid pearls, then a couple of die-cuts popped on!
Easy peasy!
I've used super smooth card for the tag, and black smooth card for the die-cuts....all from Papermilldirect, of course.
Catch ya soon!

Challenge 3 from Petal Lu......already!!

Hi everyone, can't believe it's 3 weeks today since I last blogged, where has that time gone??
Anyway lots of blogs to do over the next day or so, and lots to tell you, so I won't waffle on.....
Last week saw the start of the THIRD challenge from
and just in case you haven't heard of Petal Lu, pop over to her website and checkout the amazing flowers that Lucinda makes....they're fabulous, and every scrap of them handcrafted!
This is a very simple card I made for my lovely friend Joan....she and husband Terence celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last week, so I tried to keep to blue, as 45 years is Sapphire.
I'm struggling for crafty space at the moment, as most of my craft stuff is packed away ready for our move (hopefully)!, so I needed to keep it simple....

All card Stock is from
Checkout their 'SPECIAL OFFER' for this week!

JULY challenge from Lavinia Stamps.....

Morning everyone, hope you're managing to stay cool....we've just returned from a few nice days in Edinburgh, but boy, was it humid up there!
Anyway, today is the start of the July challenge from
The theme this month is 'Flowers', and as usual, the prize is a fab £40 of products from Lavinia Stamps. If you don't have a blog, you can enter by email, by following the link from the challenge blog HERE
Here is my DT project for this challenge.

As always, I've used card stock from
White 'super-smooth' - 300gsm.
A heavy card is needed for this type of project.

I used an old template to cut out the shape of the tissue-box, then scored and folded where necessary. The template needed to be cut twice, to make 4 sides.

I only joined one edge, to enable me to stamp on a flat surface.
Then I covered the complete piece with BRUSHO paints and allowed to dry thoroughly.

Next,  I used various LAVINIA stamps, working along the flat surface, from one end to the other.
A couple of die-cuts,  a white pen for highlighting, and the box was ready to assemble.
These are my fave colours, of course, but I also wanted a light (ish) background to show off the fab stamps.

Well, hope you like it.....if you have time, pop over to the rest of the team blogs, listed on my blog side-bar, there is some fantastic inspiration there.

Just want to remind you of this week's Papermilldirect 'special offer', too.....
At 315gsm this is a lovely heavy card with an embossing that we don't normally have in coloured card.
This comes in a small A4 box of approximately 70 - 75 sheets for only £3.96

Catch you all soon,
Barbara x
