A little BLING for Tim Holtz ;-)

Hi everyone.....happy bank holiday weekend.
Just showing a quick tag I made yesterday......I'm so enjoying making tags at the moment, maybe it's because I bought the Sizzix tag die, lol.
Anyway, here it is, quite bright, as usual....

I've used super-smooth white cardstock from
and coloured with Dylusion Inks

Tim Holtz stamps and masks.

And finally a bit of 'bling'

Hope you like it.
Back soon, have a great weekend, whatever you're doing......I always think Autumn starts the day after August BH, so my creations might take on an Autumnal feel next week, haha

A few new tags.......

Morning everyone....happy weekend.
Just a quick post to show a few colourful tags I've made this week.....I know some peeps can't see the point in a 'tag', but I think they're fun to make, and make a lovely wall display in a craft room.
Anyway here are the ones I've made this week.....

White linen, & white smooth, mounted onto black.

Distress inks and Dylusions Stamps.

This poppy stamp is from Indiglo Blu.

Chippenham Workshop.... August 2015

Hi everyone, back again with a few pics taken at my Chippenham workshop on August 1st. It was our 1st birthday too, so a lovely day was had by all.....tons of food and laughs, which is exactly how a workshop should be!
The following pics showed the ladies using the Joseph's Coat technique.

All card stock is from

Because it was the last demo of the day, the ladies didn't get time to mount them onto card bases, so were going to finish them at home.
I think they'll look fab when all finished.
Back soon with more samples from the workshop.
Have a good day,
Barbara

Lavinia Stamps August Challenge......

Morning everyone, hope you're enjoying a lovely relaxing Sunday......
I have loads to share with you all, over the next few days, so I'm starting with the new challenge from LAVINIA STAMPS
This month the theme is
ANYTHING EXCEPT A CARD
As always, the prize is £40 worth of products from Lavinia Stamps. You don't even need a blog to enter, you can enter by email, just by following the link on the challenge blog
So, here are my DT creations for this challenge.....

This canvas was coloured using the 'bleeding tissue' technique, then stamped and stencilled with various images from Tracey at Lavinia Stamps.
This butterfly is still my all time fave butterfly....I LOVE it!

Another 'bleeding tissue' background, which has  been done on white linen from
and using the same stamps, giving a completely different look.

This background was first inked onto Papermilldirect white linen card stock, then adhered to the MDF heart. A bit of stamping, stencilling, then heat embossing, gives another totally different look.
I've used spray inks on this piece of card, before adhering to the heart, then a selection of Lavinia Stamps. Sometimes it's very hard choosing which ones to use, as I really love them all!

Well hope you like my designs for this challenge, and also hope you will join in.
I'll be back tomorrow with details of my Petal Lu DT mid-way projects, hope you can pop back soon.

Challenge 3 from Petal Lu......already!!

Hi everyone, can't believe it's 3 weeks today since I last blogged, where has that time gone??
Anyway lots of blogs to do over the next day or so, and lots to tell you, so I won't waffle on.....
Last week saw the start of the THIRD challenge from
and just in case you haven't heard of Petal Lu, pop over to her website and checkout the amazing flowers that Lucinda makes....they're fabulous, and every scrap of them handcrafted!
This is a very simple card I made for my lovely friend Joan....she and husband Terence celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last week, so I tried to keep to blue, as 45 years is Sapphire.
I'm struggling for crafty space at the moment, as most of my craft stuff is packed away ready for our move (hopefully)!, so I needed to keep it simple....

JULY challenge from Lavinia Stamps.....

Morning everyone, hope you're managing to stay cool....we've just returned from a few nice days in Edinburgh, but boy, was it humid up there!
Anyway, today is the start of the July challenge from
The theme this month is 'Flowers', and as usual, the prize is a fab £40 of products from Lavinia Stamps. If you don't have a blog, you can enter by email, by following the link from the challenge blog HERE
Here is my DT project for this challenge.

As always, I've used card stock from
White 'super-smooth' - 300gsm.
A heavy card is needed for this type of project.

I used an old template to cut out the shape of the tissue-box, then scored and folded where necessary. The template needed to be cut twice, to make 4 sides.

I only joined one edge, to enable me to stamp on a flat surface.
Then I covered the complete piece with BRUSHO paints and allowed to dry thoroughly.

Next,  I used various LAVINIA stamps, working along the flat surface, from one end to the other.
A couple of die-cuts,  a white pen for highlighting, and the box was ready to assemble.
These are my fave colours, of course, but I also wanted a light (ish) background to show off the fab stamps.

Well, hope you like it.....if you have time, pop over to the rest of the team blogs, listed on my blog side-bar, there is some fantastic inspiration there.

Just want to remind you of this week's Papermilldirect 'special offer', too.....
At 315gsm this is a lovely heavy card with an embossing that we don't normally have in coloured card.
This comes in a small A4 box of approximately 70 - 75 sheets for only £3.96

Catch you all soon,
Barbara x

It's time for another Papermilldirect offer

Hi everyone, and a big welcome to my new followers.....
Today sees the next 'Special Offer' from
Our DT theme this week at Papermilldirect is 'Thank You' cards from kids.
I made a quick set of cards using scraps of various colours (I never throw scraps away!)

I'll list the colours I've used below.
The letters were cut with an X-cut alphabet die, but kids can simply write the letters by hand, if they want to do everything themselves.

Doesn't the texture of the white hammered card stock look fab?
A little bit of butchers twine on the bunting and job done!

Colours used are daffodil yellow, lime green, post-box red, raspberry pink, baby-blue, baby-pink, dark violet, teal and smooth black.....all from Papermilldirect, of course.
The weekly 'SPECIAL OFFER' is an
A4 Small Box Violet card 300gsm
This beautiful card is a very similar shade to our very popular Dark Violet card, but at 300gsm it is a must have for those of you who like their card a little thicker!
Approximately 70 - 75 sheets for the amazing price of £5.28
Hope you can find time to pop over to PAPERMILLDIRECT and checkout the range of colours....you'll be spoilt for choice...
Back soon with some pics from Saturday's CHIPPENHAM WORKSHOP.

My post on the PAPERMILLDIRECT INSPIRE BLOG has gone live....you can find it HERE . It would be great if you could pop over and leave a comment.
The theme for the blog was Quick Cards, and you can't get much quicker than 5 cards in 30 minutes!
These are the cards I've made with just ONE die.....sorry can't remember where I bought the die from, or the company who makes it, but I'm sure someone will help me out with the name ......

All card stock is from
White hammered, white linen, dark violet, daffodil yellow, black, and lime green.
Don't forget to checkout their weekly
 'SPECIAL OFFERS'

Just a simple die-cut, from black, and mounted onto a scrap
of inked card left over from another project.

These are the fabulous TEDDY-BEAR blooms from
All handcrafted by Lu, and so many variations to choose from.....pop over and check them out!

Ink dusted background with a white die-cut plonked on the top....can't get much simpler than that!
