Season's Greetings Everyone...

Hi again......here I am with another Christmas card made with BEE CRAFTY  stamps.
All stamps used can be found on the Bee Crafty website, link above .....
I started off with white 'hemp' cardstock from PAPERMILLDIRECT and three colours of distress inks, Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint & Forest Moss with which I stamped the Large Fir Fronds ~ HERE

I stamped the Christmas Baubles ~ HERE in Versamark then heat-embossed with fine, gold embossing powder. I coloured them red with a little bit of Festive Berries distress ink and a water-brush.
I stamped the sentiment and heat-embossed in gold.
I mounted the topper onto red and green card-stock from PAPERMILLDIRECT and adhered to a white base.

Well, that's it for another week.....hope you like this very 'clean & simple' card.
It would be great if you could leave a comment.
Back next week,

Snowflakes Everywhere.....

Hi again, I'm back with my usual Saturday post for BEE CRAFTY and this week I have a snowflake card to show you.
I've used colours not usually associated with Christmas....green, turquoise and yellow. I love using these three together, and have made quite a lot of cards recently with them.
I started off by blending the inks together, then when dry I wiped over with an anti-static pad. The snowflakes were stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed in white. I cut a small piece of vellum, heat-embossed the sentiment, then attached it to the inked card. A few twinkly stars and a die-cut reindeer finished it off. The topper was then mounted onto white 'hemp' textured cardstock.
ALL CARDSTOCK USED IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT
What do you think??
The stamps used were from the Snowflake Flurry Set - HERE
and separate snowflakes - HERE
Find the sentiment - HERE
That's all for now, catch you soon,

New MDF Samples for Bee Crafty.

Hi bloggers, back again.....this time with a scheduled post, as I'm in Singapore at the moment, just checking out some craft shops and doing a bit of Christmas shopping.
Beverley of BEE CRAFTY is on Hochanda on today with some of the new MDF tags etc.
Here are the samples I made for the shows.

The background on this tag was made with Dylusions paints and stamps from the Wordage section HERE
and Backdrops & Textures HERE

I've inked this tag with Adirondack inks then used the same stamps as above.

This small tag has been double-embossed, but the same stamps have been used with a distress inked background.

On this plaque, I've used glittered texture paste through a stencil

Find the stencil HERE
Well, that's it for today, hope you enjoyed the shows with Bev, back soon with a Christmas card....for a change.
Have a good weekend,
Barbara x

Hochanda Samples for Bee Crafty

Morning everyone, I'm back with my regular slot for Saturday inspiration at BEE CRAFTY and thought I'd show the rest of my samples from Bee Crafty's recent shows on Hochanda....

 ALL CARDSTOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT

I inked the background then stamped the feather in Versamark and heat-embossed with gold embossing powder.
The sentiment was stamped onto vellum.
Find the feather stamps HERE

This one was stamped in various distress inks, using only half of the feather stamp.

Again, the panel on here was inked and stamped with Versamark then heat-embossed in bronze.

Another easy card, using part of the feather stamp and heat embossing.
I've mounted the stamped section onto gold corrugated card from PAPERMILLDIRECT

Well, that's it for this week.....I've been busy working on samples for the next Hochanda shows, so keep a lookout for some sneaky peeks.
Catch you soon,

Bee Crafty - Saturday Inspiration

Hi everyone, welcome back to my Saturday inspiration post for BEE CRAFTY
I've used the 'Poppy' stamp again (find it HERE) .... it's so pretty, I think it's sad to only use it once or twice AND we like to get mileage out of our stamps....don't we??
Today I've teamed it with the beautiful new, white 'Hemp', intensive red, and lime green cardstock from PAPERMILLDIRECT
I stamped the poppy head THREE times and decoupaged it.....the stem & leaves were stamped TWICE and also decoupaged.
I added a few seed beads to the centre of the poppy to give it a bit of interest, and added some shading to the stem, leaves and seed pod with a Promarker.
Two die-cut corners and a few sequins finished it off.
Hope you like it.
Beverley and Bee Crafty are at the NEC this weekend, so if you're going, pop along and say 'hello'
Back soon, have a good weekend.....

It's almost 'Poppy Time'.......

Morning everyone,  here I am again with my regular Saturday post for BEE CRAFTY
Today I want to show you a tag I made using the 'LIMITED EDITION POPPY' stamp...(find it HERE)
This stamp is brand new for 2016, and £2 from every sale is going to this years Poppy Appeal.
This was a very easy make......I started by cutting a tag shape out of black cardstock. Then I stamped the poppy TWICE onto red card, and the leaves & stem onto green card (all from Papermilldirect)
I decoupaged the poppy head to give it some interest and overlapped the seed pod, so it fit the tag a little better
All it needed then was the sentiment and a scrap of ribbon......I think 'Less is More' on this occasion.
Hope you like it, please leave a comment if you've been inspired.
Back soon,

Limited Edition Poppy Stamp from Bee Crafty

Morning all, back again with a new stamp from BEE CRAFTY
Beverley has released this gorgeous poppy stamp as a tribute for Remembrance Day.....it's a limited edition, and £2 from every sale goes to the Poppy Appeal.
I've made a few cards already with it, and will show them over the next week or so......
This card was done on the fabulous new 'Hopsack' cardstock, from PAPERMILLDIRECT and as you can see, the image stamped beautifully. Look at the texture on the card, isn't it great?
I stamped with Versamark and heat-embossed the image, then did a bit of water-colouring with my distress inks.
In the background, I've part-stamped using the Da Vinci script (find it HERE) ...I love this stamp for backgrounds, and you'll find it quite a bit on my DT work for Bee Crafty.
The poppy stamp and sentiment can be found HERE
But, don't forget it's a LIMITED EDITION.
Hope you like my creation.....I'll be back soon with more.
Have a good weekend,

Bee Crafty Sneaky Peek.....

Morning everyone, I'm back today with a sneaky look at the stamps Bev of BEE CRAFTY is bringing to Hochanda on Monday 17th Oct.
Sometimes when I receive my DT stamps, I look to see how many ways I can use them, and often I chop them up to make other images.
I've done just this with the set called 'Feather Dreamer' (find it HERE
All the card stock is from PAPERMILLDIRECT
I cut the feather in two, and used the larger part for this card, masking and stamping with Adirondack inks on hammered card.
What do you think??
It would be great if you could leave a comment....good OR bad, it's the only way we know if we're 'hitting the spot' with inspiration.
Catch you soon, don't forget to checkout the times for the Hochanda shows......a little birdie tells me there's some fab new products, but you'll have to tune in to see what they are!

Bee Crafty DT samples from Ally Pally....

Morning everyone.....this is a scheduled post as I'm in Croatia on holiday...yeah!
Last weekend, BEE CRAFTY was at Ally Pally, and launched a fab new range of MDF projects. All the DT got a few to play with, and these were my shapes.....
For this one, I first covered with a coat of white Gesso, then inked over with Adirondack raspberry pink. Using Versamark, I stamped the Ground Elder - HERE, Tree Branch - HERE and sentiment -  HERE,  then heat-embossed  with silver & white embossing powder. I messed around too much with this one, and didn't like it ......
Now this one I think is much better.....quite a large MDF piece, so I thought it needed to be classy & elegant. Black & gold is always a favourite choice for me, if I'm doing 'elegant'! I simply covered the front of the plaque with black smooth cardstock then stamped and heat-embossed the Ground Elder - HERE, Teasels - HERE, Tall Teasel - HERE and Sentiment HERE in fine gold embossing powder. (this is my favourite, and a great size to work with)
This was a small plaque, so I painted it with Dylusions acrylic paint in yellow & lime.....(so much brighter than in the pic). I stamped the Teasels, ( as above ) and Sentiment (as above) in Onyx black, Versafine, and added some yellow Stickles - HERE
Well, hope you've enjoyed seeing my MDF pieces, I'll be back next weekend with a sneaky peek of the brand new Christmas stamps.....and they are FABULOUS!!
Catch you later,
Barbara xx

It's Autumn at Bee Crafty

Hi again, back with another quick post.....quick, because I'm going on holiday to Croatia TONIGHT!! (so my next few posts will be scheduled)
This is another Autumnal card using one of the leaf 'Inkables'....
I really LOVE the Inkables which are on the BEE CRAFTY website HERE , they are so versatile and because they have a 'positive' AND 'negative', can be used in so many ways.
This card uses the Easy Frame - Maple - HERE for the background, and I've inked through it with various colours of Distress Ink.
The next step was to stamp the images in black Versafine -  Tall Teasel and Teasels from the BEAUtanicals range - HERE and a sentiment from the Wordage range - HERE
All that was left to do was add a few sequins ......see, told you it was quick!
Hope you like it....
Well I'm off to pack now, but will be back soon with a scheduled post.
Catch you soon
