And now for something completely different.........

Hello everyone, hope you're having a good Wednesday, the weekend isn't too far away now........I've had a great day in my craft room just getting messy!  Been trying out some new stamps I brought home from Melbourne last Autumn.......Melbourne is a very trendy, expensive city to live in......We were there for 2 months, Alan for work, and me for a holiday and I've got to say I bought some really, really nice crafty things!   A few ladies that I'd met on various internet groups arranged days out for me, with them and their crafty friends. Everyone was so friendly and I appreciated the time they took out of their own busy lives to take me around lots of crafting outlets, the main one being KAISERCRAFT.......Oh when I walked in to this huge warehouse type of building, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!  Needless to say we had to pay a 'little' excess luggage cost on our return flight, but Alan managed to put that in with expenses, heehee.  The gold edging on this first card is from a set of leafy stamps,  one of the few inexpensive things I bought.......not from Kaiercraft but from a bargain basement shop called, of all things, 'Arthur Daley's Emporium'.......New stock was added every couple of days, so I had quite a few shopping expeditions to this particular store!

Anyway, I have just used a couple of Tim Holtz distress inks for the background, the leafy stamp which I heat embossed, and a German Shepherd stamp which I bought from a 'Sell or Swap' group on Facebook.  (We are huge GSD fans and have our own massive bundle of fluff and muck, called Finn, all 35 kg's of him!)  The previous GSD card I had in stock sold very quickly at my weekend craft fair, so I needed a replacement. I love the background colours, think it must be the 'Leo' starsign in me.   Well, I'll be back later with a couple more cards, so until then, ..........

Pink and Black for Mother's Day

Evening everyone, hope you've all had a good day. It's been absolutely glorious here in Wiltshire and you can smell that Summer is just around the corner.   My day has been very productive....... I started off with 6 extra 'Thank You' cards for Nick and Emma, they're writing 'thank you's' for their wedding pressies and although I've already made 100,  they need a few more.
So, that was this morning, then later I made 3 small 'Hello' cards and 2 for Mother's Day, all for my stock boxes.
Lots to show, but for tonight I'm just posting these two made for Mother's Day which of course is 18th March. These cards could also be used for a mother's birthday as they don't actually say 'Mother's Day.
On the card above, I've used M-bossabilities for the background, and Spellbinders new lattice and classic circle dies.  The image is from Pink Petticoat.

Another pink and black design, using the same image, but with a different embossing folder.  I love using pink, black and white together, in any combination, and any shade of pink,  so enjoyed doing this card. The die-cut corners were bought off E-bid, although I don't know why, as I have lots of corner dies......think I just like wasting money!
So, that's all for tonight....hope you've enjoyed looking. It would be great if you could leave a comment, I'm pretty obsessed with all the statistics....love them!

Black and White

Happy Sunday evening everyone, hope you've all had a good weekend. Mine has been busy, but really good.  I did a village 'table-top' sale yesterday morning and an all day craft fair today and over the 2 days I've sold absolutely loads and got lots of commissions. The weather was against us today until 1 o'clock, but not much we could do about that........I only do fairs where I'm the only card seller as I can't see the point of competing against loads of others, especially if I haven't got a 'prime' position in the hall.   However, I had no complaints about this weekend, and I'm back in the same hall next week...yippee
The card below was one of my favourites and it sold FIRST........I just adore black and white, and of course I adore my Spellbinders too. It was a very simple design, just cutting and assembling with a few pearls to 'lighten' it.

Hope you like it, if so
please leave a little comment xx
Tomorrow I'll be spending locked in my craft room trying to replace stock which has sold this weekend.....if I'm not back by Wednesday, send out a search party please!
That's all for now, have a good Monday xx

The Liebster Award!

Evening everyone,  I'd like to say a massive thanks to the following ladies for giving me the 'Liebster Blog Award'.....I can't quite believe that I've received this award THREE times!, and I've only been blogging for 2 weeks............The lovely ladies are, Isobel at http://isobelcreationblogspotcom.blogspot.com/...... Pauline at http://paulinemargaret.blogspot.com/..... and Janet at http://cumbrianlass-craftykendalian.blogspot.com/

The Liebster Award

The purpose of the award is that each recipient has a small blog (less than 200 followers). They in turn nominate five other recipients each of whom has a blog with less than 200 followers. Liebster is from the German language and means "dearest" and the award is passed to people who have inspired and motivated me. It is hard to chose only five recipients as many of the people on Crafty Bloggers Network have done that. I am going with some of the newer bloggers, who have been inspiring me with their cards for quite a while, but have just started 'blogging' them.
My choices are

Andrea @ http://andie66.blogspot.com/
Vanessa @ http://nessicraft.blogspot.com/
Janice @ http://moggymania-littleredblog.blogspot.com/
Joan @ http://jaydeeliciousdesign01.blogspot.com   and last but not least,
Janet @http://jayellecards.blogspot.com

I would love to have awarded Eileen Godwin @ eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.com  as she has inspired so many of us via her blog.....fortunately for her, she has stacks and stacks of followers, so doesn't need my help :-0)
Thats all for tonight, sorry no card, but I'll be back tomorrow with a new creation. Enjoy the rest of your weekend x

Yay....It's Friday!

Hello,  hope you've all had a great crafting day. I've had quite a few 'stops' today and haven't really achieved very much. Even when I managed to go into my craft room all I did was make a mess! However, I finished this little card to enter in a challenge at http://gingerloftchallenge.blogspot.com so I suppose it wasn't a complete wasted day ..........Shame though, because I had nothing planned today and wanted to get a few cards made for my upcoming craft fairs.
Anyway, so be it...... I'm doing a village sale tomorrow, (in our village) then all day on Sunday in a small, very popular, historic village near us called Lacock. It's where lots of period dramas are filmed, including Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Moll Flanders and part of  the Harry Potter series. So, a busy weekend for me.

This is my 'challenge' card,  and I'd love know what you think about it.

Fly away!

I have a few butterfly dies, but I always seem to go back to my Cuttlebug butterfly die and embossing folder.

The sentiment from www.stampit.com.au  was stamped and heat embossed
Evening everyone, hope you've had a lovely crafty day. I finally managed to get into my craft room about 3 o'clock......... checking out other blogs doesn't half use up my time. Anyway, the photo of the card I was going to show has gone off with Alan in his camera, (he's away tonight) so that will have to be tomorrows post. Instead I'm showing a couple of  'butterfly' cards which I made last week. Hope you like them, would love it if you could leave a comment x
