Carabelle Studio Art Stamps @ Topflight Stamps

Hi bloggers, I'm back today with a bright DT card for
TOPFLIGHT STAMPS
which I'm intending to frame......
I've had my CARABELLE STUDIO stamps out this week, they are superb quality, white rubber, and very detailed. (it's almost a shame to ink them up ๐Ÿ˜‰)
Anyway, I started my card by inking a piece of white textured card (Hopsack) from
PAPERMILLDIRECT
with Izinks ink pads, then made a few layers of colour using various stencils.
Once the background was finished, I over-stamped, using a couple of different sets of Carabelle Studio Art Stamps.
I'll list at the end,  sets of stamps I used.....
Once the stamping was finished on the card, I stamped some of the images onto a printed book page, cut them out and adhered to the main topper.
A bit of doodling, some Ranger Enamel Accents, and I was almost done.
I darkened the corners with a charcoal pencil and smudged it a bit.
All I had to do was mount onto black, white, then black again to make an eye-catching frame.
Hope you like it.
Have a great weekend and I'll catch you all next week

IndigoBlu @ Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, I'm today with a masculine card to show.
I've used a stamp from IndigoBlu called 'Fairway to Heaven', a golfing image, for all the men in your lives who love a round of golf!
IndigoBlu are an English company who make mounted, red rubber stamps.....they are very detailed and high quality. Checkout the IndigoBlu section on the TOPFLIGHT STAMPS website for a great selection.
To start, I laid a stencil over a piece of watercolour card, spritzed some water on the stencil then sprinkled on Brushos. Once the stencil was removed, it left the coloured background.
I stamped the image using Versafine Clair ink, in Twilight, then coloured the golfer with watercolours.
A little bit of inking around the edges, and a couple of layers of green & yellow card, (all from PAPERMILLDIRECT) and I was done.
Let me know what you think, by leaving a comment......
Catch you next week,
Barbara x

Hi bloggers, a quick mid-week post from me with a little tag, using stamps from
We've seen some beautiful sunsets recently both at home in Wiltshire and on the coast at Broad Haven, Pembrokeshire where we're lucky enough to have bought a holiday home.

I've used the gorgeous textured card -hopsack- (225gsm) and Mocha Brown (240gsm), both from PAPERMILLDIRECT
The choice of textured card & colours over at Papermilldirect is second to none!
All stamps are from INKYLICIOUS
Pampas Grass,
Tiny Script,
Seagulls
Willow Twigs
and
Fern Leaves
Hope you like my little tag,

Rubber Dance @ Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, I'm back with my weekly blog post for TOPFLIGHT STAMPS......I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by, it just seems a few hours since I did my last post ๐Ÿ˜
Anyway, this week I've made a little tag/bookmark with some fabulous Rubber Dance Stamps, designed by Susanne Rose. I love Susanne's work, so when I saw these 'Textured Houses' I just knew I had to have them.
I inked up a piece of cardstock with Izinks , then laid a bubble stencil over the top and sponged through with white Gesso.
The houses were stamped onto an old book page,  cut-out and inked with contrasting colours, then adhered to the background. I mounted the coloured piece onto black card, as a base.
I inked a piece of seam binding to match.
I love these little houses, so this won't be the last time you see me using them ๐Ÿ˜€
Topflight Stamps have a good selection of Rubber Dance stamps, why not pop over and check them out?
Catch you soon, but as always, have a fab, crafty weekend.

We've just bought a holiday home this week, in Broad Haven, Pembrokeshire.... a minutes walk from the beach. These new stamps will be used to make some framed pics for the lounge ๐Ÿ˜€
On this project I used the clam stencil with Pampas Grass, Seagulls, and Willow Twigs stamps.
ALL CARD STOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT
The inks are IZINKS.....very bright & juicy, I'm loving them!
I popped the completed card 'topper' into a cheap frame from Ikea....

Carabelle Studio from Topflight Stamps

Hi bloggers, I'm here again...... and this week I've made a couple of tags to show you.
I've used a fabulous new stamp by Carabelle-Studio.
This stamp is a complete image and makes for a very quick card or tag.
I inked up a piece of cardstock with some new inks called Izinks......they are BRIGHT!!
I then applied white paint through an Andy Skinner stencil, from PaperArtsy.
With the card cut in half, the stamp was inked with Versamark, then heat embossed....... one piece in white and the other in black. I stamped the butterfly part on separate inked card, cut them out and adhered to the tag.
I was just curious how different the tags would look, although they were identical apart from the colour of embossing powder.
I'm still not sure which one I prefer ๐Ÿ˜€ what do you think??
Topflight Stamps have a massive selection of Carabelle Studio stamps, why not pop over to check them out?
Catch you soon, have a great weekend,

More Paperartsy at Topflight Stamps

Hi blog followers, it's Friday already and I'm back with my TOPFLIGHT STAMPS post for this week.
I live in the UK, and we've already had Mother's Day, but I notice it's coming soon in the US.
Because of this, I've made a couple of feminine cards, which could be used for Mother's Day, or even a birthday.
I've used Jofy stamps again, from Paperartsy, (link at end)
These are simple cards, but quite effective.
ALL CARDSTOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT
I've used black smooth, and white Hopsack on these cards.
I stamped the large flower onto previously inked background, then cut it out. At this stage I added doodles, with a white pen. .....Using Distress Oxides and a blending brush, I lightly inked a small part  of white textured card stock, to give a very soft base for the vibrant flower. I splashed a bit of contrasting colour over the card, then adhered the flower to the background.
I filled in parts of the image with Ranger 'Glossy Accents'.
The 'mum' was die-cut and adhered along with a small sentiment.
The whole 'topper' was mat onto black card, then a white card base of the same textured card.
My usual few sequins and I was done.
Because I love this new stamp set, I made a second card whilst I had the stamps out, in a different colour.
I've also used a Jofy stencil on this one.....(the leaves are actually a pretty green colour, but look anemic in the pic ๐Ÿ˜•)
Well, as always, have a great weekend, with plenty of crafting if you get the chance.
Bye for now,
Barbara xx

Paperartsy at Topflight Stamps....

Hi everyone, I'm still on holiday at the moment, so it will be a quick blog today........
I made this set of tags using fabulous stamps designed by Jo Firth Young, available at
TOPFLIGHT STAMPS
Find them here-

Paperartsy have some fabulous designers and the stamps are brilliant quality, they will last forever.
Anyway, this little trio of tags were coloured with Distress Oxides, then stamped using the Sunflower Set (51)......huge stamps with sentiments included.
Each tag had it's own colour scheme - all I added was a few drops of water to make the splodges, a bit of doodling and some Ranger 'Glossy Accents'
I layered onto black card from PAPERMILLDIRECT then made a tie using American seam binding which has been coloured with the matching Distress Oxides.
Here are some close-ups ..........
I quite like the idea of using scraps of 'bookprint', too, so stamped a few bits, cut them out and adhered to the design.
I filled some of the leaves with Glossy Accents, to make them stand out.
I had to add a touch of glitter too......
Hope you like them.....please leave a comment, good or bad, I'm a big girl, I can take criticism ๐Ÿ˜€
Catch you next week,

For The Love Of Stamps......

Hi blog friends, I'm on holiday at the moment in Tenerife, so I'll keep this post short & sweet.
This week, on the TOPFLIGHT STAMPS BLOG,  I've used a pretty little set of stamps called 'Just My Cup Of Tea' from HunkyDory - find it HERE
I liked the cute little flowers and ferns, so I made a background of them using varigated inkpads from KALEIDACOLOR.
I used an 'aquabrush' just to pull some of the outline ink and fill the flowers with colour. It reminds me of wallpaper I had in my bedroom as a kid....(long, long time ago ๐Ÿ˜„)
I made a circle frame from white 'hopsack' textured card from PAPERMILLDIRECT, then mounted onto an orange background, also from PAPERMILLDIRECT
The teapot & cup were stamped,  heat-embossed in gold then 'fussy-cut' and adhered to the frame.
The little sentiment is from the same set, and fits the teapot perfectly.
Well, that's about it for now, I'd better get back to my sunbathing ๐Ÿ˜Ž......see you next week, still from holiday. Have a great week's crafting.

Lavinia Stamps Wooden Tag .......

Hi Bloggers, I'm back today with a tag for TOPFLIGHT STAMPS using fab images from LAVINIA STAMPS
This week I covered a wooden tag with watercolour cardstock, then inked it with Distress Oxides in Wild Honey & Candied Apple.
I stamped the fairy 'Seeing is Believing' and 'Whimsical Wisps' with Versafine Clair ink in Twilight.
All I had to add was some Ranger Glossy Accents and Ranger Liquid Pearls.
Checkout the beautiful selection of Lavinia Stamps at www.laviniastamps.com.......even if you're not 'into' fairies, there are loads of other brilliant images available.

Studio Light stamps @ Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, well here I am, another week almost over and a week nearer to Summer ๐Ÿ˜„, or Winter, if you're unlucky.....๐Ÿ˜’
This week I have an 'old school' type of card, using die-cuts and heat-embossing with a Studio Light background stamp.....available HERE
I thought the stamp would be perfect for a male card, and black & gold were my preferred colour choices.
It's a very easy card, but if you want to checkout the tutorial, it's on the Topflight Stamps blog HERE
I think this background stamp would be great for quite a lot of 'occasion' cards.....male birthday, graduation, driving test etc.
Why not pop over to the Topflight Stamps shop, there is a brilliant selection of Studio Light stamps...
Catch you all next week,
Happy crafting,
Barbara x

Lavinia Stamps, and not a fairy in sight.......

Hi everyone, back again with a new card made with images from Lavinia Stamps (I'll list below, all stamps used)
This is my weekly DT post for www.topflightstamps.com and also my DT post for the March challenge at www.laviniastamps.com
I started by inking a piece of watercolour card with Distress Oxides, then lifting some of the colour out, by applying water through a leaf stencil.
I then stamped some background images with Oxides, before moving onto my main image.
The main images, 'Fairy Houses' and 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' were stamped in Versafine Clair ink, in Twilight.
I added a bit of colour to the fairy houses with Oxides and used Ranger Stickles to highlight the windows, roof etc. I love Stickles, they work so well with Lavinia Stamps.
 Stamps Used :-
Fairy Houses
Home Is Where The Heart Is
Sacred Spells
Whimsical Wisps
Slender Mushrooms
Mini Stars
Hope you like it......
 Catch you soon,

Carabelle Studio at Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. I'm here today with 3 ATC's made with stamps designed by Birgit Koopsen for Carabelle Studio, called DUTCH TULIPS.
These are the very first ATC's I've ever made, but I think I'm 'hooked'

I made the backgrounds with Distress Oxides, then stamped the images in Versafine 'Clair'......a bit of shading & doodling and I was done.
These will definitely not be the last ATC's I make.....I already have a few 'ready-inked' for future projects
Please leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking, or have any questions.
