A few of my favourites from 2012

Morning everyone, Happy New Years' Eve........and a very wet one it is here in Wiltshire ;-(
It seems ages since I last blogged..... We had a lovely Christmas with Nick & Emma and Adam & Sophie, with lots to talk about, especially N & E's new baby, due in April.  Christmas came.....and went, (so quickly) and now we're almost into 2013.   I admit this is very scary year for me as it holds a MASSIVE birthday  (which I'm definitely NOT looking forward to) Ho-hum!

Anyway I thought I'd finish off 2012 by showing you some of my favourite creations from this year...my very first as a 'blogger'.

The blog post for this card can be found Here
I sent it to a lovely cyber-friend.......

The card below can be found Here .....and was sent to another lovely cyber-friend who I've met up with a couple of times for lunch ....

I made the mannequin card for an order, and the corresponding 'post' can be found Here

I made this for Emma, my lovely daughter-in-law's birthday in October. I really enjoyed all these Autumnal coloured cards. The post for this one can be found Here

I love this card, the original 'post' can be found Here

My biggest and very BEST project was my son and daughter-in-law's wedding stationery. The posts can be found  Here
My great-niece Samantha got married in August...I made the invitations and orders of service. Here

Well, that's it........ if you're still awake, all I have left to say is a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.....hope you'll pop back in 2013 to see what I have to offer.
Until then, take care and have a great evening

One year on..........

Good evening everyone and welcome back to my blog...
Welcome also to my new followers, it's so good to have you visit.
Well yesterday was a great day......it was the 1st Wedding Anniversary of my wonderful son Nick, and his amazing wife Emma, I can't believe they've been married a whole year already.....it's been a great year for them, and next year will be even better because they have a baby due in April, whoohoo, a grandma at last!

This is a pic of them on their wedding day last year

I wanted their Anniversary card to remind them of the day, so I used the same coloured card as I used on their wedding stationery, and just made a simple, elegant card.....no flowers or fussy bits!
I've got to admit I saw the sentiment on one of Jen's cards over at Less is More and thought it was perfect for this card.

I bought the little heart charms in Italy, whilst on holiday, I knew there'd be a special time to use one of them.

The ribbon is the same colour as the bridesmaid dresses were, and all the stationery of course.

If you want to see the wedding stationery I made, checkout my post dated 19th and 21st of February 2012

I'll tell you my second bit of yesterday's good news in my next post.
Until then, have a great evening, and I'll catch up with you soon.

Christmas Novelties

Evening everyone, it's Friday...yay......hope you've all had a good week!
No cards to show tonight, as I've been busy making Christmas novelties to sell at this weekend's Craft Fair....up to my eyes in POOP!....I'm out 2 days at my regular spot in Lacock, so hope it all sells.....I'll never be a millionaire, but it won't be for the want of trying ;-)

I've made 35 of these serviette rings...
I love them!

Snowman poop!   (with TicTacs inside), and a daft little verse.
36 of these....

Magic Reindeer food
35 of these....

Doggie treats
(if these don't sell, Finn will be very happy on Christmas Day!)
I have about 40 packs

And....Reindeer Poop!....Some with chocolate peanuts and some with chocolate raisins. (not quite so many with raisins, as I ate a full bag of them on the way home from town! haha)
There's 32 bags of these.....hope they don't all sell!

I've also made some fridge magnets, but haven't got a pic yet, so will show you another night.

So, what do you think? I'll let you know tomorrow night how the day goes, and what sold best.....Of course I still have over 200 cards in stock too, so want rid of some those, ready to re-stock after Christmas.
Catch you all tomorrow night,
Have a great Saturday xx

I'd like to enter these novelties into the following challenges :-

A Christmas Tag....

Evening all, hope you've had a good day, and managed to stay warm.  The 'Hoar Frost' was amazing this morning....our bungalow backs onto fields, and they always look so pretty when it's frosty. I managed to get a few good photos, which I might use on something or other at a later date.
Anyway, tonight I have a very simple tag to show you.....I didn't want vintage, grungy, messy or bright.....I just fancied doing a very simple, clean-looking tag, and I think this is how it turned out.

I ran the tag through an embossing folder, then coloured the trees with Pan Pastels

I blended around the edges with my 'Splodgeaway' mat...I just wanted the very faintest of colour.
Guess what I used for the sparkly bits.....yeah, Glamourdust !

Hope you like it enough to leave me a comment,
Barbara

Christmas with Sassy!..........

Morning everyone, happy Monday!
Welcome to my new followers, hope you can pop by as often as possible.
Today I'm showing my very FIRST design card for
The design team have been working with some fabulous designs from
and I chose to use the 'Santa's Little Helper' for my card.
One of my customers asked for a, 'quote'....pink, fluffy & girly Christmas card for her daughter.....I think this is about as pink and fluffy as it gets! LOL

The 'Kraft' card is a download from Pink Petticoat. I think it goes nice with pink.
Isn't this a gorgeous image?....she's soooooo pretty!
I've used a selection of Spellbinders and Memory Box dies and a Martha Stewart edge punch.
The image is coloured with Promarkers.

Stars and jewels to brighten up the snowflakes

And, of course, the obligatory Glamourdust. (Not sure what I'm going to do after Christmas.....I'll be bereft when I can't use so much)

Well, that's it for today, hope you've enjoyed looking.
Why not get yourselves a cuppa, and checkout the rest of the Design Team blogs, there's some fab creations for inspiration.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges :-

Almost the end.........

.........of the Christmas cards....phew!
Morning everyone, and what a beautiful morning it is, here in Wiltshire, cold but a lovely clear blue sky. So much better than grey and wet. I have a full day crafting to look forward too
today, yippee
Not so yippee is that I promised the ladies at my Tuesday afternoon craft class that I'd make up some jewellery packs and show them how to make a necklace tomorrow. Of course I've procrastinated for 2 weeks, so need to get me bloomin' act together for tomorrow!
Anyway, first I'd like to show you my new card for the December challenge at
The theme is....CHRISTMAS, of course! ;-)
The design team were given some super-cute images from
Meljen's Designs , and this is my card

I've coloured the image with Promarkers (really need to practice more with these pens)...and a selection of dies from Memory Box and Spellbinders.

And, of course......Glamourdust!
Hope you like it. I'll be back later with another DT card, but until then, keep warm ;-)

Dashing Through The Snow.....................

Evening everyone.....happy Friday!
Welcome to my new followers. Thank you so much for taking the time to pop into my little corner of blogland and leaving such lovely comments.
I've had loads of good news this week.... I've actually won SIX card challenges in the past week....absolutely amazed. Sometimes they're just for fun, others are for prizes, but I don't care, it's the fact that a group of ladies have looked at one of MY cards, and chosen it above lots of others.
The other great bit of news this week is that Crafty Bloggers Network have invited me onto their Design Team....very happy about this.  I'll be blogging my very first DT card on Monday.
Anyway, onto tonight's card......a little Christmas scene from 'days gone by'

The stamp is from Creative Expressions, coloured with Promarkers.... I've used a couple of Memory Box dies and an embossing folder

Loads of Glamourdust, as usual.....and even 'Neddy' didn't escape!

Hope you like it.
Have a great weekend

Another White On White, for Christmas.....

Morning everyone, happy Saturday.......
We're off into Bath this morning,  to have a look around the Christmas Market, a bit of lunch and some pressie buying.......Oooooooo, I love this time of year, especially when it's Alan's bank card I'm using, whoohoo!
Anyway, today sees the start of another challenge over at

The theme for December is FROSTY WINTER, so loads of scope to join in and make some fab cards.
I was prompted into making another of my 'white on white' cards.....mainly 'cos I love making them, I don't really need an excuse, but thought 'frost' on Christmas flowers would 'fit the bill'

I've used a Martha Stewart 'punch around the page', Spellbinders 'Poinsettia' dies and a Marianne, Anja's Large Oval die.

Loads of Glamourdust

And absolutely tons of Cosmic shimmer pearlescent glue to make all the pearls.

Well, what do you think....like it??

I'd like to enter this easel card into the following challenges ;-
City Crafter are asking for easel cards this week,
Papercraft Junkies are wanting 'white on white'
and

Thanks for taking the time to look at my latest creation, I'd love it if you could leave a comment.

Celebrate.....

Evening all, hope you're having a good week so far. Well, it's almost the weekend and that can only mean ONE thing.........CHRISTMAS DECCIES! whoohoo.
We always have a grand 'switching on' ceremony on the 1st December, but this year it might have to be Sunday 2nd, as it's Christmas shopping on Saturday ;)  We all go outside, and stand in the cold or rain, whilst Alan is snug and warm inside, pressing the switch!

Anyway, tonight's card was made a few weeks ago but I forgot about it until last night. The image is a stamp by Penny Black

What do you think??
(I think the colours are quite insipid, after the recent bright, bold colours I've used)
Catch you all tomorrow.
Oh and don't forget, you still have a few days to enter the challenge at
You could win the most coveted badge in Blogland, haha

Think Pink!

Evening everyone, and welcome to two more followers...I'm hoping I can do enough to keep you popping back.
Hope you've all had as good a day as me!
Alan had a conference this morning in Birmingham, so we travelled up yesterday. I went with him because it's a great chance to meet up with a couple of my lovely 'cyber-friends' who I met on Facebook....we try to see each other as often as possible. Today it was Janet from Watford and Joan from just outside of Brum....We met in a pub, and stayed there FOUR hours, eating, drinking and putting the world to right's....it was fab and wish we could do it more often....we always swap pressies, and today I came home with stamps, an embossing folder, die-cuts off Janet and 2 beautiful pieces of jewellery that Joan had made. The only 'downer' of the whole day was that Joan broke.......a fingernail!!  Hee hee hee xx
However, a bonus was that Birmingham is hosting a huge German Market this week.....and I can vouch for the mulled wine, it was amazing ;)
Anyway, tonight's card was made a few days ago, and I surprised myself by doing a shocking pink background with Dylusions inks, not a colour I use very often.
The sentiment stamp, chicken wire and dandelion are from Inkylicious ...I do like their stamps and have quite a lot now.
I've used my SplodgeAway Mat again on this card....it really does make a difference :-)

What do you think??  It's quite PINK isn't it? haha
Catch you all tomorrow, have a good Sunday,

Less is definitely more!

Evening all, and a big, warm welcome to my 200th follower....whoohoo, can't quite believe that 200 crafters pop into my blog on a regular basis to see what I'm crafting......I am indeed overwhelmed, so
THANK YOU x
Just a quick post from me tonight, as I need to meet tomorrows deadline on a challenge that I sometimes enter.
The blog at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/ is asking for 'Hardware' on this weeks challenge, so I thought my lovely little snowflake would fit in well.....The idea of 'Less is More' is to have lots of white showing with minimal embellishments.
I love making cards with loads of white as the hammerered card really shows up nicely.
So here is my entry

Would love you to leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking
Have a great weekend,
Be back soon,
Barbara xx

Flutterbyes....

Evening everyone, and welcome to my new followers....almost at 200, whoohoo!
Tonight's card is an extra one I made for The Cupboard Trilogy challenge in October....I usually make a few DT cards, and let Jane, the owner of the blog, choose which one she likes.....guess this one didn't 'cut the mustard', (although I quite liked it) haha.

Distress Inks and a Sizzix texture plate.

The butterfly stamp is from Inkylicious, the word LOVE from Creative Expressions, and the little butterfly die-cuts are Cheery Lynn

White and gold embossing powder from Cosmic Shimmer.

THREE HOURS LATER, and I've finally managed to upload these pics.....for some reason Google is wanting me to pay for extra photo storage. I've had to delete some pics, so if you call by tomorrow and the blog is empty, you'll know what's happened.
Catch you all soon, thanks for looking
Barbara xx
