More Alcohol Inks.......

Morning everyone, and a bit better start to the day than yesterday, I can see some sun....yay!
Anyway, just thought I'd show you a few more of the alcohol ink cards I made as samples for my latest Chippenham Workshop. I'm still loving the inks, and will be using them on a regular basis, now that I've bought more ;-)
All card bases and 'mats' are from PAPERMILLDIRECT, and the inked pieces are done on Yupo paper.
Love the colours on this one
This was also one of my samples for the BEE CRAFTY show on Hochanda, last week....I 'fussy-cut' that tree....yawn!
And another sample for Bee Crafty, using the tree stamp from the BEAUtanicals range, HERE.
The sentiments are from the 'Wordage' range on the Bee Crafty website.
Just stamped with Stazon, onto an alcohol ink background.
Hope you like them.
Catch you soon,

Saturday's Sure Do Come Around Quickly at Bee Crafty.....

Hi again, just a quickie today showing one of my DT cards for the Hochanda show yesterday with Bev of
Did you see all the fabulous new releases of leaf stamps, aren't they great?
I chose to use the oak leaf stamp for this card and first stamped both sizes of leaves onto gold mirri-card with Stazon. Then I fussy cut them out......not as much of a chore as I thought, LOL
I mounted 3 of the leaves in the corner, with silicone gel, then added a twine bow, onto a piece of black smooth cardstock from
Mirri-card is very hard to photograph.

In opposite corners I made some dots with a Versamark pen, then heat-embossed in gold.
Added one of my favourite sentiments, HERE
and I was almost done. All that remained was to mat onto more mirri-card, then onto a black base.
Voila! done ;-)

Hope you enjoyed the shows, I'll be showing you more of my DT work over the coming days.
Catch you soon, have a good weekend,
Barbara x

A Canvas for Bee Crafty

Hiya, happy Saturday......
This is another quick blog, I'm afraid, as this weekend is the Scarecrow Festival in our old village, and I have arranged the 'Craft Market' part. I'm selling my cards, as always, so we're hoping for a very busy weekend.
My inspiration for BEE CRAFTY this week is a little canvas.
I've used Dylusions for the background, then overstamped with 'Flower Distressed Border' find it HERE
I stamped the flower part on a separate sheet of card, a couple of times, fussy-cut, inked them in a contrasting colour then triple embossed them to bump up the shine.
I used another of my favourite background stamps in a couple of places, the Da Vinci Script....find it HERE
The background spots were made with a small piece of sequin waste, and the sentiment is another favourite of mine, which can be found HERE
A little bit of gold wax around the edges, some Rangers 'Stickles' and a piece of twine completes the canvas.
If you have found some inspiration from this project, it would be great if you could leave a comment, they are always appreciated.
Catch you soon,

Elegant Inspiration for Bee Crafty....

Morning all, just a very quick post as I'm on holiday this week, and we're heading off to the beach soon with the grandchildren.
I chose to do a very simple & elegant card this week only using black smooth card and gold mirri, gold embossing powder and BEE CRAFTY stamps (of course)

Black smooth card stock is from
I used a Versamark inkpad and fine gold embossing powder to emboss the images and sentiment.
Stamps used are :-
Large Wings - HERE
Small Feather - HERE
Sentiment - HERE

It's quite hard trying to photograph mirri-card

I love the black and gold together and think it looks very elegant. It would probably look just as nice on white card stock with maybe a coloured embossing powder.

Well, that's all for now, as I promised the family I wouldn't spend too long on my lappy this week.
It would be lovely if you could leave a comment, if you've found some inspiration from this card.
Back soon,
Barbara xx

Hello everyone....how quickly do these weekends come around??
I'm a bit late with my blog today for BEE CRAFTY but hope it's been worth waiting for .......
I decided to make a little project for my craft room and started with a 4" mdf heart, which I covered with 3 shades of Dylusion paints..... Lemon Zest, Fresh Lime and Vibrant Turquoise ( HERE )
I then used some texture paste through the Honeycombe (3) Inkables (HERE)
Once it was completely dry, I started overstamping.
I used the following stamps to add a bit of interest to the background,
Style Wire Circle (HERE)
Da Vinci Script (HERE)
Butterflies Set 1 (HERE )
And the word LOVE from 2 different stamps.... Live, Laugh, Dream, (HERE) and Love Isn't Complicated (HERE
I stamped the butterflies directly onto the heart, then again on some inky card and cut them out.

Once the  butterflies had been adhered to the heart, I used some lemon Stickles (thanks Sam Green, you were right, I DID need it ) , and also did a bit of doodling with a white Sharpie pen.

A bit of raffia for a hanger and Voila!

If you like my little heart, it would be lovely if you could leave me a comment below.....they are always appreciated.
Catch you soon,
