Hello everyone, and welcome to my little corner of blogland. It's been a fabulous day here in Wiltshire, and even having to go into work couldn't dampen my spirits. The campus I was on this morning is a old country house and estate, which was converted into the 'land-based' study centre for Wiltshire College. This campus is accessed by a 2 mile long 'drive' which this morning, was absolutely smothered in daffodils, hyacinths and other Spring flowers....the new-born lambs were playing just inches from my car. It certainly made me feel happy to be alive!
Anyway, once home thought I'd do a 'simple' card, which turned out to be anything but simple. I don't like it, but really do need to build my stocks, so I felt forced to finish, rather than bin it. Please let me know what you think...........
Hopefully I'll have a good crafty day tomorrow and get a few more done.....maybe I'll even like them, haha
Thanks for taking the time to look x

ReplyDeleteI don't know why you don't like it - I think it is fab. The colours are bright and cheerful, the ribbon work is wonderful and the design is eye catching x
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I'm not sure either, but think the blue ribbon looks out of place....however it's staying put! haha (I hate blue and orange together) x
DeleteNothing wrong with this. Love the matching ribbons and buttons. Very Cheery.
ReplyDeleteBut I know how you feel, I'm my own biggest critic.

Love the card design Barbara and the colours you have used. I am sure that someone will love it for its individuality even if you have doubts about the combinations. I sometimes think we are overly critical of our own projects. xx
ReplyDeleteI think it's gorgeous - I love the ribbon tabs
ReplyDeleteThose buttons were a good buy! It's a bit scary to go out of your comfort zone but you never know, it might turn out well, as this card shows. I like all the bright colours and the dimension of the ribbons and buttons. Keep going! xx

ReplyDeleteHi I think your card is great, nothing wronge with the blue ribbon.
ReplyDeleteWhy are we all guilty of being to critical about our own cards.

Nice, bright and cheary. The colours are zesty and the ribbon and buttones are placed beautifully. I'm sure that, while you don't feel it's quite right, somebody else will snap it up.

Why don't you like it ? Great card, very attractive, different, well balanced and a super colour palette . I love it!x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all the positive comments.....maybe because it was something different for me, or possibly because I put some blue in amongst the yellows, oranges and brown, I'm not sure why I didn't like it. I might try something similar with a different colour palette. Really appreciate the comments though and thanks for taking the time to look xx
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. I love the colours and the details
