Paperartsy at Topflight Stamps....

Hi everyone, I'm still on holiday at the moment, so it will be a quick blog today........
I made this set of tags using fabulous stamps designed by Jo Firth Young, available at
TOPFLIGHT STAMPS
Find them here-

Paperartsy have some fabulous designers and the stamps are brilliant quality, they will last forever.
Anyway, this little trio of tags were coloured with Distress Oxides, then stamped using the Sunflower Set (51)......huge stamps with sentiments included.
Each tag had it's own colour scheme - all I added was a few drops of water to make the splodges, a bit of doodling and some Ranger 'Glossy Accents'
I layered onto black card from PAPERMILLDIRECT then made a tie using American seam binding which has been coloured with the matching Distress Oxides.
Here are some close-ups ..........
I quite like the idea of using scraps of 'bookprint', too, so stamped a few bits, cut them out and adhered to the design.
I filled some of the leaves with Glossy Accents, to make them stand out.
I had to add a touch of glitter too......
Hope you like them.....please leave a comment, good or bad, I'm a big girl, I can take criticism ๐Ÿ˜€
Catch you next week,

For The Love Of Stamps......

Hi blog friends, I'm on holiday at the moment in Tenerife, so I'll keep this post short & sweet.
This week, on the TOPFLIGHT STAMPS BLOG,  I've used a pretty little set of stamps called 'Just My Cup Of Tea' from HunkyDory - find it HERE
I liked the cute little flowers and ferns, so I made a background of them using varigated inkpads from KALEIDACOLOR.
I used an 'aquabrush' just to pull some of the outline ink and fill the flowers with colour. It reminds me of wallpaper I had in my bedroom as a kid....(long, long time ago ๐Ÿ˜„)
I made a circle frame from white 'hopsack' textured card from PAPERMILLDIRECT, then mounted onto an orange background, also from PAPERMILLDIRECT
The teapot & cup were stamped,  heat-embossed in gold then 'fussy-cut' and adhered to the frame.
The little sentiment is from the same set, and fits the teapot perfectly.
Well, that's about it for now, I'd better get back to my sunbathing ๐Ÿ˜Ž......see you next week, still from holiday. Have a great week's crafting.

Studio Light stamps @ Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, well here I am, another week almost over and a week nearer to Summer ๐Ÿ˜„, or Winter, if you're unlucky.....๐Ÿ˜’
This week I have an 'old school' type of card, using die-cuts and heat-embossing with a Studio Light background stamp.....available HERE
I thought the stamp would be perfect for a male card, and black & gold were my preferred colour choices.
It's a very easy card, but if you want to checkout the tutorial, it's on the Topflight Stamps blog HERE
I think this background stamp would be great for quite a lot of 'occasion' cards.....male birthday, graduation, driving test etc.
Why not pop over to the Topflight Stamps shop, there is a brilliant selection of Studio Light stamps...
Catch you all next week,
Happy crafting,
Barbara x

Lavinia Stamps, and not a fairy in sight.......

Hi everyone, back again with a new card made with images from Lavinia Stamps (I'll list below, all stamps used)
This is my weekly DT post for www.topflightstamps.com and also my DT post for the March challenge at www.laviniastamps.com
I started by inking a piece of watercolour card with Distress Oxides, then lifting some of the colour out, by applying water through a leaf stencil.
I then stamped some background images with Oxides, before moving onto my main image.
The main images, 'Fairy Houses' and 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' were stamped in Versafine Clair ink, in Twilight.
I added a bit of colour to the fairy houses with Oxides and used Ranger Stickles to highlight the windows, roof etc. I love Stickles, they work so well with Lavinia Stamps.
 Stamps Used :-
Fairy Houses
Home Is Where The Heart Is
Sacred Spells
Whimsical Wisps
Slender Mushrooms
Mini Stars
Hope you like it......
 Catch you soon,

Carabelle Studio at Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. I'm here today with 3 ATC's made with stamps designed by Birgit Koopsen for Carabelle Studio, called DUTCH TULIPS.
These are the very first ATC's I've ever made, but I think I'm 'hooked'
TOPFLIGHT STAMPS carry a massive range of Carabelle Studio stamps, why not pop over to the website and check them out.
I made the backgrounds with Distress Oxides, then stamped the images in Versafine 'Clair'......a bit of shading & doodling and I was done.
These will definitely not be the last ATC's I make.....I already have a few 'ready-inked' for future projects
Please leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking, or have any questions.

Visible Image at Topflight Stamps

Hi bloggers, I'm back with a tag I've made for Topflight Stamps, using stamps from Visible Image and an inky background.
I started by stamping the ballerina from the
Born To Perform set, (see below) onto heat-resistant acetate with Versamark, then heat-embossing in black. This was then trimmed and 'glittered'.
I adhered the ballerina to my inky background. Then I added the two stars, which I filled with glitter,  and a sentiment from the same set. A bit of doodling and I was finished.
The fibres I've used are 'silk-throwers' waste.... the pic doesn't do the colours justice, they're beautiful.
Hope you like my little tag....Please leave a comment, if you've enjoyed looking.....good or bad. (I'm a big girl, I can take criticism ๐Ÿ˜‡)
Catch you soon,

Lavinia Stamps at Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, welcome back to TOPFLIGHT STAMPS
It's almost the weekend already, aren't the weeks flying by?....soon be Spring!
Anyway, this week I have a set of 3 tags/bookmarks/card toppers for you.....they can be used however you want ๐Ÿ˜€
I started off by inking 3 small pieces of watercolour card with Distress Oxides in various colours....I chose colours I knew would blend together without going 'muddy'.

Next I picked out the images I thought would go well with the colours.....I'll list the names of every stamp I've used, below.
I tried to keep the design simple on each piece, as I wanted the lovely colours showing through.

After mounting the pieces onto black card,  from PAPERMILLDIRECT,
I used quite a bit of Ranger 'Stickles', as I think Lavinia Stamps just cry out for glitter & bling.
I finished of with some Ranger 'Glossy Accents' and a few pieces of net fabric, in matching colours.
The stamps I've used are :-
Trinity
Eden
Stars 2
Vine
Celestial Tree
Fairy Trees 1 & 2
Dream Catcher
Stones
Sea Bubbles
Three Dancing Fairies
See A Fairy, Make A Wish
Sacred spells
Whimsical Hares
Most of them are available in the shop HERE  and I know there's been a big delivery of new Lavinia Stamps this week, so why not pop over to check them out?
Hope you like this weeks project, don't forget to leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking......see you next week,

Carabelle Studio at Topflight Stamps

Hi everyone, welcome back to the blog..... I'm here again, with not one, but two cards using fabulous stamps from Carabelle Studio.
I must say here that I'd never used Carabelle products until I was introduced to them by TOPFLIGHT STAMPS.....now I absolutely love them, and they've quickly become a firm favourite.
So, this week I thought I'd make one 'inky' card, and one 'clean & simple', using the same set of stamps.
ALL CARDSTOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT
The set is called LEAVES
I stamped the image direct onto white card, to start.....
Because the beautiful sentiment mentioned 'rainbow',  I then stamped onto a piece of previously inked card, to incorporate rainbow colours.
Once the leaves had been cut-out, I adhered them to the 'flat' image.
The sentiment was stamped, then the whole piece was layered onto an inky background.
I added a few sequins to finish.
Although I adore getting messy & inky, I still love Clean & Simple cards, and I enjoyed making this one....hope you like it ๐Ÿ˜€
Whilst I had the stamps out, I made another totally different card, using an inky background, (made with Distress Oxides) and adding another set of stamps called CIRCLES & STITCHES
I'm not too keen on my doodling, but it was too late to change it....(I need a new white pen)
If you have time to leave a comment, please let me know which one you prefer....
Here are the stamp sets I used,

Lavinia Stamps for Topflight Stamps.....

Hi Bloggers, I'm back again with a little woodland scene, using Lavinia Stamps.....now also available at
TOPFLIGHT STAMPS
For the background I've used a selection of Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber & Peacock Feathers on watercolour card.
After making my distressed background, I stamped some of my all-time favourite images of Lavinia Stamps using Versafine Inks.......
ALL CARD STOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT
The clear stamps are amazing quality, and all are hand-drawn by the creator of Lavinia, Tracey Dutton
 The main images are :-
Tree Root - HERE
Whimsical Hares
Tree Goddess Luna - HERE
Once I had matted and layered my top design, I used some Stickles & Liquid Pearls to finish.
 Hope you like it.....
Back soon, happy crafting,
Barbara.

A Valentine Tag

Hi Bloggers, I'm here again with another little Valentine creation for
This week I covered a wooden heart tag with textured card stock, then inked it with Dylusion Sprays to get the (very) bright background. Using 3 sets of stamps from Carabelle Studio :-
Circles & Stitches....HERE
All My Love HERE
Follow your Heart HERE.
I did a small amount of background stamping, and stencilling.

Using the small heart from Follow your Heart, I stamped a few images on the tag, then twice onto scrap card in contrasting colours. These were cut out and adhered to the tag.
The sentiment was stamped onto another scrap then trimmed.
Some small pieces of net fabric and a few sequins finished off my project.

Carabelle Studio Stamps are becoming firm favourites and I’ll be using them again soon ๐Ÿ™‚ Find the massive selection of designs in the shop HERE
Until then, have a great crafty week ahead, catch you soon,

First post for TOPFLIGHT STAMPS

Hi everyone, I'm back after a long absence with my very first post for

A few bits of background stamping, a little sentiment from the same set of stamps and I was finished.
Hope you like it......

Lavinia Stamps - December Challenge

Well, how bad am I ??? No blogging done since October.....I just can't believe how fast the time goes, life is just whizzing by ๐Ÿ˜•
Anyway, just wanted to show a 'classic' Christmas card I made for the new challenge at
ALL CARD STOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT
I only used ONE little 'holly' stamp, HERE and a simple sentiment.
I varied the shades of green ink for the leaves, then added loads of Ranger Stickles for the glittery accents.
I think this is quite a traditional kind of card.
Well, that's it for now, back soon with my Lavinia samples for the recent show on Hochanda.
